7 Days Until GTMD25, 7 Ways You Can Support Nonprofits Nows

GTMD is 7 days away! Here are 7 ways you can support nonprofits & schools across Minnesota:

  1. Search and support causes you care about on GiveMN.org. There are thousands of organizations on GiveMN's platform. To narrow it down, you can use filters like BIPOC led/serving and LGBTQ+ serving as well as searching for orgs in specific geographic areas.

  2. Help organizations win prizes. Every gift you make to a cause you care about is a chance for that organization to win a GTMD prize grant! You can see the most recent prize winners here.

  3. Create a fundraiser to support your favorite organizations.  In addition to donating to organizations, you can also fundraise on their behalf without even leaving the house. Creating a fundraiser for your favorite cause is an incredible way to spread the word about the good work they do and get your friends and family involved in the joy of giving. Start a fundraiser today.

  4. Purchasing a giving card to encourage your loved ones to start giving!  When you purchase a GiveMN Giving Card, you're giving the gift of generosity, and your recipient can use it to make a gift to any of the tens of thousands of organizations in Minnesota and beyond!

  5. Share how and where you’re giving with your friends and family. Word of mouth plays a huge role in how, where, and when people decide to give. When you let your friends and family know where you’re giving, you set off a spark of generosity that increases your impact for nonprofits & schools across Minnesota. Plus, our social media template makes it easy to share where you’re giving.

  6. Provide matching funds: Matching funds – where individuals or businesses match donations up to a certain amount – are a great way to maximize your impact and incentivize giving to causes you care about. Find a nonprofit cause you care about on GiveMN.org and connect with their team to start a matching fund for GTMD25!

  7. Consider generosity outside of money. Volunteer opportunities, non-financial donations like clothes or food, and sending an encouraging message are great ways to show your support. Every act of generosity counts towards making our communities more resilient and helping Minnesota thrive. However you choose to participate in Give to the Max, your participation matters.
