GiveMN to Host Give OUT Day, the Nation’s Only LGBTQ+ National Giving Day

GiveMN, a nonprofit organization working to ignite generosity and grow giving, is proud to announce it will be the new host of Give OUT Day, the nation’s only LGBTQ+ national giving day. Scheduled for the first Thursday in June, June 5, 2025, this annual event generates critical funds and increases visibility for hundreds of LGBTQ+-centered nonprofits across the country. 

 Horizons Foundation led Give OUT Day for the past nine years, raising more than $10,000,000 for LGBTQ+-centered organizations and shaping a legacy for the nation’s only LGBTQ+ giving day. GiveMN is proud to continue this important work, building on its success and ensuring its growth and impact nationwide. 

 “This is an exciting transition, and we are grateful to expand the legacy Horizons Foundation has created,” said Jenna Ray, interim executive director of GiveMN. “Give OUT Day is an opportunity to extend GiveMN’s mission of community-based giving to support the essential work of LGBTQ+ organizations across the country.”

Since its inception in 2009, GiveMN has helped raise over $430 million for more than 14,000 nonprofits and schools, serving as a trusted leader in giving-day events. 

GiveMN is committed to providing a seamless experience for participating organizations by leveraging the Give OUT Day brand, the Mightycause fundraising platform and GiveMN's proven giving-day framework. Participating organizations can expect access to expanded donor networks, promotional tools and dedicated support to help them achieve their fundraising goals. 

Expanding Support for LGBTQ+ Organizations 
GiveMN’s leadership of Give OUT Day comes at a time when LGBTQ+ organizations, which are already underfunded compared to organizations at large, face increasing challenges, making community support more critical than ever. The transition ensures Give OUT Day continues to grow, thrive and serve as a catalyst for meaningful giving.
