It’s been two months since we celebrated the 15th anniversary of Give to the Max in November! Our team has been crunching all the numbers since November, and we wanted to share some of the statistics behind Minnesota’s most generous day!
$34.2 million
You’ve likely seen this number already! Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, $34.2 million was donated during GTMD23, more than double the amount of our inaugural year in 2009! But more than the number itself, it powers a lot of meals served, neighbors housed, animals adopted, and so much more good medicine across our state. More than $300 million has been donated through the first 15 Give to the Max campaigns.
$1.2 million
Though Give to the Max Day ended at midnight, the giving kept going on GiveMN.org! Nearly $1.2 million was donated the day after Give to the Max above and beyond the final $34.2 million total at the end of the day.
6,615
A new record for the campaign, 6,615 nonprofits and schools across Minnesota and beyond received a gift during GTMD23!
87, 50, 39
US Bank Stadium couldn’t hold all of the donors that took part in GTMD23! Tens of thousands of donors gave from all 87 Minnesota counties, 50 states, and 39 countries from around the world.
$670,000
Some Give to the Max generosity will continue long beyond November! Hundreds of donors started new recurring monthly gifts to their cause on the day that will add up to $670,000 by the next time we celebrate GTMD24 on Thursday, Nov. 21!
9:00 pm
Primetime was the most generous time of GTMD23! The most generous hours started at 9:00 pm, 8:00 pm, and 6:00 pm, with more than $1 million raised during each of these hours (in addition to several more throughout the day.)
2
During our busiest hours, GiveMN.org averaged more than two donations each and every second of those hours.
2:00 am
Although this was the least busy hour of the day, thanks to some night owl donors and organizations running true 24 hour campaigns, GiveMN.org still averaged a donation every 10 seconds in the wee hours of the morning!
$10,000
With the support of our partners at the Bush Foundation, we were able to award the $10,000 Super-Sized Golden Ticket to Alexandra House in Blaine! A gift to their organization was randomly selected from all GTMD23 gifts to win this prize grant.
