Mark your calendars for Minnesota's giving holiday!
Give to the Max is scheduled for Nov. 16.
In preparation for Minnesota’s giving holiday later this fall, we’re providing a basic preview of this year’s campaign as we rally behind our favorite causes for GTMD23!
If you’re new to this campaign, Give to the Max is an annual fundraising campaign for thousands of nonprofits and schools across Minnesota! GiveMN.org is honored to host this generosity party each year on behalf of organizations statewide and donors like you who so generously support their work.
Since 2009, Give to the Max results have steadily risen to now more than double the first year, with nearly $300 million donated to 14,000 organizations in the first 14 years by donors like you (and nearly a million more!)
It’s a time to celebrate the causes that mean the most to you and give generously to help support them as they continue the work you care deeply about. It’s a grassroots giving movement and a reminder of the good that can happen when we give together. Last year, Give to the Max 2022 raised $34 million for nearly 6,500 nonprofits and schools—$10, $50, and $100 at a time.
Give to the Max Day typically takes place the Thursday before Thanksgiving as a kick off to the holiday giving season. This year is no different, and GTMD23 will take place for 24 hours on Thursday, November 16.
Although most of the action will take place on November 16, Give to the Max Early Giving will begin on November 1! All gifts made on GiveMN.org between November 1-16 will count toward final totals and be eligible for Golden Tickets that could boost your generosity.
Yes! With the support of our long-time partners at the Bush Foundation, we’ll be awarding more than $100,000 in prize grants during Give to the Max 2023!
Our most popular prize grants are Golden Tickets. When you make a gift to a Minnesota organization during Give to the Max, you’ll automatically be in the running to have your donation boosted by $500, $1,000, or even $10,000. We’ll be offering daily Golden Tickets each day of Early Giving, and awarding them every 15 minutes on Thursday, November 16. Learn more about prize grants.
Any day is a great day to give, and we appreciate the generosity you show year-round for your favorite causes, friends and neighbors. With that being said, we offer some motivation we’ve heard from donors in the past about why they like to be a part of Give to the Max.
For now, mark your calendars for Early Giving to begin on November 1, culminating in 24-hours of giving on the 15th annual Give to the Max Day, November 16! Next month, we’ll share more ways to flex your generosity muscle during this year’s campaign.
