GiveMN recognized with a Community Impact Award

In May, our team was honored to accept a Community Impact Award from Twin Cities Business, recognizing our work during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. From offering emergency no-cost coaching sessions to rebating our portion of the processing fee for three months, building the May 2020 GiveAtHomeMN campaign and a record-breaking Give to the Max, we are humbled by the recognition of our efforts to support organizations like yours, and thank you for the partnership in making these initiatives a success. Announcing the 2023 Campaign institute cohort

The 2023 RaiseMN Campaign Institute is underway! Over the next seven months, we’ll be working with 32 organizations across Minnesota through coaching and cohort learning to help level-up their fundraising strategy and capacity. See this year’s cohort.

Update on our work at the Minnesota Capitol

GiveMN was involved during the busy legislative session, requesting a one-time appropriation to offer fundraising coaching at no cost to a thousand Minnesota nonprofits and schools. Although we saw progress and made the case in committee meetings, the session ended without action on our bill. We’ll continue to explore ways to expand access to our RaiseMN coaching for all organizations, and thank hundreds of organizations like yours for signing on in support this year.

GiveMN featured on Do Good Better podcast

Our Director of Community and Capacity Development Courtney Backen joined the Do Good Better podcast earlier this year to discuss fundraiser safety and well-being, avoiding fundraising FOMO, and how small nonprofits address capacity issues. Listen to the podcast.
