How to start planning your year-end fundraising appeal
Just a sliver of summer remains and Give to the Max 2023 registration opened last week—two signs that the year-end fundraising season is upon us! Now is a great time to dedicate some early planning power to your year-end fundraising campaign, and our upcoming Learn-Along webinar, How to Dazzle with a Year-End Appeal, explores just that.
You can register for the online event which will be held on Thursday, September 14th, at 11:00 a.m., but in the meantime, our team wanted to share a sneak peek of some of the expert fundraising tips you'll learn.
Start now
It's never too early to think about your year-end fundraising strategy. Gala season kicks off in September and October, Give to Max and Giving Tuesday take place in November, and before we know it, we’ll be wrapping up our year-end campaigns in December. You'll appreciate having your plan primed and ready to execute before the snow falls.
Cultivate
Invest in cultivating your donors now. Start by (re)identifying your key stakeholders—who you serve, who is invested in your work, and who can help you succeed. Consider collecting fresh stories from those who benefit from your services, gather metrics on your organization's impact this year, and organize your goals for the new year.
Communicate
Craft compelling messages about your organization’s reason for being and passion for its mission. Develop a series of "asks" that empower your supporters to help you succeed in 2024. Leverage those messages consistently across various communication channels, including email, social, and direct mail—whatever works best for you!
Register
Lastly, register for our learn-along for even more year-end fundraising tips, such as building a communication plan, crafting a strong case for support to help you reach your year-end goals, and working smarter—not harder—with limited resources.
RaiseMN coaches Courtney Backen and Clara Lind have led many a year-end giving campaign over the past ten years and bring their extensive fundraising expertise from various nonprofits to this informative webinar you will want to attend!
