Minnesota, Stitched

Through 2026, nonprofits have faced considerable challenges. From an ever-shifting philanthropic landscape to the continued impact of immigration operations across our state, making sure all of our neighbors are fed, housed, healthy, and supported in so many ways has never been more necessary or more challenging.

And, yet, nonprofits, schools, and the individuals that support them keep showing up. We continue to meet each moment of stress and difficulty together. And, each individual act of generosity – whether that’s a dollar donated or a word of encouragement shared – adds up to so much more.

That spirit of togetherness in the face of difficulty is why this year’s Give to the Max Day theme is Minnesota, Stitched: When Minnesota frays, giving mends the seams. Think of Give to the Max Day 2026 as Minnesota’s statewide quilting bee. Amidst challenging times, every gift made to a nonprofit or school on Give to the Max Day provides a critical stitch in our patchwork blanket of support, covering all of our neighbors across the state.

When you start a fundraiser, make a gift, or share what motivates you to give, those actions are additional stitches, another quilt square, or a new color added to the quilt of the community in our state. Whether they are putting on plays, providing homes for our furry friends, making hot meals for our community, or supporting the education of the next generation, nonprofits and schools need those stitches so they can continue coming together to uplift our neighbors.

This Give to the Max Day, let’s reinforce the quilt of community, together.
