3 Ways to Support Nonprofits Beyond GTMD

GiveMN Newsletter for Organizations (1)
Although GTMD24 may be in our rearview mirror, many nonprofits are just kicking off their calendar year-end fundraising efforts. Research shows that more than 30% of all philanthropic giving happens in November and December! A lot of organization leaders are feeling that stress, plus the added urgency of feeding and housing our neighbors, keeping arts and culture in Minnesota alive, supporting kids with opportunities to succeed…and so much more.

So, whether you gave during GTMD, you’re a monthly donor for causes you care about, or you’re a volunteer for an organization you love … consider making an extra gift (or two!) to a nonprofit that is meaningful to you. There are so many ways to show up for nonprofits! You could:

  1. Ask your friends and family to support a nonprofit on your behalf. Find a cause you care about on giveMN.org.
  2. Start a monthly gift of $5, $10, $25 to help the causes you love to sustain their work. You can set up recurring contributions on giveMN.org;
  3. Volunteer your time or expertise because your passion and skills are also a gift to organizations! Check out upcoming and ongoing volunteer opportunities on our Opportunities page.

No matter how you choose to show up for nonprofits at the end of this year and beyond, we thank you for supporting the impactful work of organizations across Minnesota!
