Sisters, Not Twins: Transitioning from GTMD to a Year-End Campaign

Sisters, not twins. Just like eyebrows are similar yet different, GTMD and year-end fundraising campaigns are two distinct entities that share common qualities. An opportunity to engage donors, old and new? Check. A clear and compelling story that highlights the necessity of your work? Check. A time for you to outline exactly what direct support does for your organization? Check.

Think of GTMD as the older sibling who sets an example, the one who lays the groundwork and helps donors understand what your organization does and how they can contribute. Your year-end fundraising campaign is the younger sibling following in their footsteps, building on preexisting relationships of trust and understanding, and providing another opportunity for donors to act on generous impulses. These two campaigns offer similar opportunities to engage donors, and you can use similar tools to ensure your year-end fundraising effort thrives.

Hopefully, these tools will help you end your calendar-year fundraising on a strong note! The GiveMN team is cheering you on as you race towards the finish line. If you need more support or fundraising resources, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team: help@givemn.org
