"Thanking Tuesday"—why we're grateful for you

Blog Bar - Our Take donor

ThankingTuesdayEvery year, organizations across the country (and the world!) fundraise for their important missions on Giving Tuesday, held this year on November 28. However, here at GiveMN, we’ve lovingly renamed Giving Tuesday to “Thanking Tuesday” as a way to recognize tens of thousands of individuals like you who showed support for Minnesota’s nonprofits and schools during Give to the Max Day earlier this month.

The end of the calendar year marks one of the biggest seasons of giving. Whether you’re giving financial resources, time or expertise, many of us find ourselves paying-it-forward as we reflect on what we’re most grateful for.

To kick off Thanking Tuesday, the GiveMN team would like to share three reasons why we’re thankful for you—our generosity community!

  • Your donations change lives. Whether your donation is hard at work feeding families, housing our neighbors, assisting kids with homework, or something else, your financial support is being translated into changing the lives of Minnesotans in every corner of our state. It takes resources to make the important work of Minnesota’s nonprofits and schools a reality and your support is a huge help!
  • You help make Minnesota a great place to live. Many of us are proud to live in Minnesota! There are many reasons to love our state, from the State Fair to beautiful scenery and nature, and beyond; but your donations make Minnesota known as one of the most generous states. That’s something to be proud of!
  • Your generosity gives us hope. In a time when many of us feel overwhelmed with the daily news cycle and constant bids for our attention, generosity gives us hope for a better, brighter future. Your donations say you care about people, animals, the environment, the arts, and so much more.

However much you give and whatever causes you support, you are an important part of our giving community. Give to the Max Day is successful because thousands of donors like you get together to say “I care,” and for that, we are immensely grateful!

Thank you for supporting the causes near and dear to your heart during Give to the Max—and every other day of the year!
